Background: boop!

Personality: Nora is upbeat and excitable, almost always smiling. Her cheerful spirit is a force to be reckoned with, unstoppable and constant and instantly apparent the moment she first appears in RWBY, alert and awake for her first day at Beacon Academy and even when she's catapulted into a dangerous forest for their initiation. She is the type to play around and make jokes and gladly join in a food fight. Though she is small in stature - just above five feet in height - she more than makes up for it with her very bright and big personality.

Sometimes she's just so excitable, however, that her mouth runs every which way. Nora has a habit of saying the first thing that pops into her head no matter how random or off-topic it may be, or exaggerating a few things, such as a dream she had; Lie Ren corrected her while she narrated it to the rest of their friends. Even on her first day of Beacon, she's so psyched that she can't stop talking to Ren about how thrilled she is to be in Beacon and how she would want to be partners with him, how they would be together, but not together together, etc. At one point during the Vytal Festival, Nora rambles about what would happen if she and her team lost in the tournament, about their reputation and becoming outcasts. When you hang out with Nora Valkyrie, expect her to say the most unexpected things at the most unexpected times.

This is not to say she doesn't know how to be serious, however. Her silly talk and shenanigans don't mean she can't get down to business; she can follow orders and work with a team even despite all that. One might say that even when it doesn't seem like Nora is serious with what should be done, she really is. Then again, when they were gathering red tree sap from Forever Fall as part of a school trip, she proceeded to drink up a jar handed to her. It might be more accurate to say that she is only truly serious when lives are on the line, like when Grimm was spotted menacing Cardin Winchester, she quickly obeyed Pyrrha Nikos' instruction to accompany Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long when they had to get help.

Nora is more perceptive and thoughtful than she seems. She notices Jaune Arc, their teammate, returning to their room late (because Cardin had blackmailed him into becoming his lackey) and wonders why. She is also aware of Jaune's and Pyrrha's feelings for each other, even while Pyrrha wouldn't admit them to Jaune, and knows when to let them have time with each other. And when Jaune was being bullied by Cardin, Nora proposed that they break the latter's legs. These show that not only is she perceptive, but she is also a loyal friend and teammate, willing to get serious and take risks when her friends are in trouble.

Overall, Nora may have her head in the clouds and is a motormouth, not to mention very hyperactive (she's seventeen years old and still jumps on her bed), but she is a reliable comrade with unyielding optimism and a ready smile.

Abilities: Nora is fast and strong. She once claimed that she can benchpress five of herself, and she is most likely not kidding, considering how heavy her hammer, Magnhild, must be. In fact, whenever she strikes with it, she can literally send people flying. She is also capable of moving quickly and launching herself high into the air by firing Magnhild's grenade launcher form without much trouble, and usually lands quite safely after that. In one episode, she could dodge fatally sharp feathers thrown by a Nevermore, a type of Grimm.

In the RWBY universe, some individuals are gifted with a power called their Semblance, which is a manifestation of their Aura or soul. Nora's gives her the ability to channel and use electricity. She can take a jolt of electricity or a bolt of lightning, big or small, which then powers her up, lending her even greater strength.

She can also be seen riding Grimm with ease. Her cheerful, positive demeanor most likely allows her to be unaffected by the effects these monsters have on people's emotions, such as causing them to panic and flocking to sources of negativity.

Alignment: Daimonia. She's always seen filled with joy, whether in the midst of battle or in more lighthearted moments. Not even the fall of Beacon or the loss of one of her teammates can keep Nora down for long; she can bounce back from anything and remain cheerful.
